  8.       * Use a modem to dial your local Telenet access telephone
  9.         number with parameters settings of 8-N-1.

  11.       * Type two CARRIAGE RETURNS (CR) D (CR)

  17. (1)   Terminal =        D1 (CR)                    Input Terminal ID.

  19.                                                    PC's. If not known,

  22. (2)   @                 C DIAL212/12,YOUR ID (CR)  Type area code desired,
  23.                                                    modem speed and your
  24.                                                    user ID. (Note that
  25.                                                    /3 = 300 bps, and /12 =
  26.                                                    1200 bps).

  28. (3)   PASSWORD =        PASSWORD (CR)              Enter user Password
  29.  
  30. (4)   DIAL 212/12                                  Connected to target
  31.       CONNECTED                                    city outdial modem.

  33. (5)                     ATZ                        Type ATZ (in upper case)

  35. (6)   OK                                           Modem responds as cleared.

  37. (7)                     ATDT 7654321               Type ATDT (in upper case)

  41. (8)   CONNECT           (CR) (CR)                  You are now connected to
  42.                                                    the computer that you
  43.                                                    dialed. Procees as if
  44.                                                    the  number was dialed
  45.                                                    directly.

  48.     NOTES:
  49.     -----

  51.     1. If the connection was not made, a BUSY will be seen within 30
  52.        seconds. The BUSY message means that the number dialed was either
  53.        busy, not in service, or an invalid attempt to dial more than 7
  54.        digits. A BUSY will also be seen after disconnecting from the
  55.        host computer, but you can dial another number by starting again
  56.        at the fifth step and typing ATZ and dialing the number.

  58.     2. PC Pursuit uses standard HAYES dialing commands, which enable
  59.        you to type the A/ (no CR) command to redial the previously
  60.        dialed number.
  61.  
  62.     3. When a typing mistake is made in the second and third steps,
  63.        the log-on must be re-entered.

  66.     To Disconnect from PC Pursuit

  90.     1. To DISCONNECT FROM TELENET, log off your computer as usual, or
  91.        hang-up.
